When an assistant can use a business tool, the design conversation shifts from answer quality to authority. This proposed roundtable explores how organizations can retain control over a workflow while still benefiting from automation.
The intended audience includes software architects, security partners, product owners, and operations leads. Participants do not need to share customer data or internal credentials. The discussion uses fictional service-desk and purchasing scenarios.

The first exercise distinguishes the requester, the assistant service, and the downstream application identity. Groups review a tool request and identify the target, permitted operation, and evidence required to proceed.
The facilitator’s guide introduces a changed request after approval. Participants decide whether the existing approval still applies and document the reasoning. This makes the difference between conversational intent and enforceable authorization concrete.

A tool accepts an operation but returns a timeout. Another source includes instructions that conflict with the original user request. A third action points to an ambiguous account. Groups work through the recovery path and decide what the audit record must show.
The exercise emphasizes idempotency, independent policy checks, and human escalation. It does not assume that a better prompt can solve an execution-boundary problem.

Participants create an ownership map for tool inventory, approvals, incident handling, and access revocation. A workflow is not ready merely because the model can call an API successfully.
The discussion closes with expansion criteria: what evidence would justify allowing another operation, and what failure would require a pause?
